Looking east from Bearpaw High Sierra Camp. The camp sits at 7,800 feet and overlooks a gorge formed by the middle fork of the Kaweah River. The sound of the river over 1,000 feet below can be heard clearly from camp. The dining room is visible at the left. Camp consists of 6 tents, each with two cots.

Snow and ice touch the edge of Upper Hamilton Lake. The Great Western Divide and Mt. Stewart are on the horizon.
